All Though doll collecting is not quite as common as it used to be "Berenguer Reborn Dolls" are one of the newest and most detailed of all dolls available on the market. Though this is an interesting name it is quite appropriate for the product since it is referring to the manufacturing process used in producing these dolls. They are made of vinyl and basically recycled from previous dolls. Artists spend large amounts of time to creating a realistic and lifelike looking doll. Many people have actually mistaken "Berenguer reborn dolls" for real babies. These dolls are not manufactured with the intentions of being a child toy like many other dolls and instead are collector items that are very impressive to those individuals who are familiar with dolls. The artist uses oil paint to create subtle features that allow the doll to posess a lifelike natural looking skin. The doll's hair is sealed from the inside and is usually created by mohair. The eyebrows and lips are painted on with the most intricate details. The nose is even opened by the artist so the doll can "breathe". The dolls fingernails and toenails are even painted and sealed with the white tips to recreate the exact features of a baby. The limbs are filled with sand and are topped with poly fill and sealed with glue. Other unique methods can be used but are not as common. Even veins and ears are created to resemble a real child. It is one of the most valuable dolls as well as realistic looking.
